You are going to need to brush well and often.Since keeping your teeth clean is so important, you’re probably wondering if you should buy a manual toothbrush or invest in an electric version? Does it really matter? That’s the question we’re going to address today.
Welcome to Friday Focus! Today I would like to talk about one of the greatest advances in orthodontics today: digital impressions. It’s a common orthodontic practice to make molds of a patient’s teeth and mouth in order to get a 3-dimensional graphic representation of the bite. It’s one of the least liked orthodontic procedures by everyone involved, particularly patients. It can definitely be an uncomfortable procedure, frequently causing a gag reflex in the patient.
The variables that determine whether or not someone should have their wisdom teeth (aka third molar) extracted before braces are put on include how old they are, the condition of the wisdom teeth and the recommendation of their oral surgeon and orthodontist. Many teenagers do need to get their wisdom teeth out prior to orthodontic treatment.
